    • Hi Fran,
Last night Faye Reynolds introduced me to your blog, and I love it. Your passion for travel and the “open” way you approach it is conveyed beautifully in your tales.
Knowing the main characters and their setting, I felt like a “fly on the wall” whilst reading about your time in Cotignac, You managed to further ignite my anticipation of our return to Cotignac.
I stayed up much longer than is good for the next day, reading your postings.
      A very fortunate life.
I enjoyed your tips and recommendations particularly as we arrive to 4 days in Paris and then, after leaving Cotignac, we a travel to Brittany and Normandy for 2weeks staying in Dinan, Bayeux, and Honfleur. So thanks for the tips.
      Best wishes
      Anne (Fallu)

  1. Hello Fran… Love your blog!! I have nominated you fro the Liebster Award. If you choose to accept here are the rules:
The Liebster Award is an online award given to bloggers by other bloggers that helps spread the love that we all so desperately desire. Liebster is a German word that translates to “dearest” so getting nominated for this is bound to give you a warm, fuzzy feeling.

    The rules are as follows:

Post the award on your blog so everybody knows how awesome you are.
Publicly thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog.
Answer their questions about yourself, feel free to add photos!
Nominate 4–10 people with less than 1000 followers, inform them via social media.
Write your own set of questions for your nominees.
Feel good about yourself for winning an award and passing it on.

  2. Hi Fran! We met on a Princess Mediterranean cruise last October! Tim and I are returning to Italy in two weeks. We would like to take a cooking class in Florence or Venice. Any recommendation ? Also tell Stephen hello for us!

    • Hi Anne. How lovely to hear from you. It’s been a long time. But I’m glad you followed me on the blog. I haven’t cooked in Florence or Venice. Love them both but more eating than cooking! I did cook in Lucca another place I love. Stephen is fine. Covering from a shoulder reconstruction so not much swimming this year. Remind me of where you live now and send your email address. I tied to resin to the email that was on the message but it bounced back? We had a great month in the US at the time of our sons wedding. You may have read about it here? Lovely to hear from you Fran.
